CEO & President, Dugan Unlimited

Paula (LaLa) Larson is currently CEO & President of Dugan Unlimited, a leadership consulting firm.

As a global executive known for building high-performing organizations and employee development, Paula has built her career leading change as an organizational effectiveness expert, an HR business partner and a strategic consultant. From December 2013 to June 2016, Paula was the Chief HR Officer (CHRO) and Company Officer for Newell Rubbermaid.

Before Newell Brands, Paula was Chief Human Resources Officer for The Western Union Company, where she revamped the company’s approach to people development and drove a performance-based culture. Previously, as Chief Human Resources Officer at Invensys plc, a previous London-based global technology group, the executive leadership team engineered a transition from a holding company into an integrated operating company (2004-2010), which helped drive Invensys to a top-5 performance among the London FTSE100 by 2009 (through recession years).

Previously, Paula was Vice President of Human Resources for the Hydraulics division of Eaton Corporation. She also spent over a decade at GE, where she won several coveted Executive Awards for leadership and was the company’s first Six Sigma black belt in human resources.

Before that, Paula spent nearly five years at a global HR consultancy, Dugan Unlimited (CEO & President Bob Dugan), where she lived and worked extensively globally during client assignments. Paula’s current consulting practice is named after Bob Dugan, who was a critical mentor and guide in her early career.

Paula is the President of the Board for GA Chapter of JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) and a Board member of Chris 180. Paula has been involved in volunteering and nonprofit activities for years, and is passionate about supporting nonprofit organizations through her consulting practice.

Paula has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Michigan State, an MBA with international business concentration from the University of New Haven and a Master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from New York University (ABD, PhD).
